Google Maps 2.2 released for Windows Mobile

Comments

Google Maps Windows Mobile

Google has released a new version of their popular Google Maps application for Windows Mobile. The new 2.2 version now includes transit directions for nearly 50 cities world wide. Now if you are in Montreal, Dallas or London you can get detailed transit information so you can use public transportation instead of your vehicle.

I did a bit of testing this morning with it here in Ottawa and it works fantastically well. All you have to do to access the Transit information is choose Transit under the Direction Menu.

Google Maps 2.2 is free-of-charge and can be downloaded at http://m.google.com/maps from your Windows Mobile device.
